Glenergy Heat Pumps and CHP chosen for Ballymun
One of the projects we were involved in in 2017 was the redevelopment of the Ballymun Rediscovery Centre Boiler House. The Boiler House once housed a boiler feeding an old district heating heating scheme in Ballymun but was repurposed to become the ultimate in sustainability and now houses tecnologies such as heat pumps, solar thermal and Micro CHP.
Created as an exemplar site for numerous renewable and sustainable energy technologies, the Rediscovery Centre chose to install two of Glenergy’s products; a Dachs Micro CHP unit and a 20 KW Pico Energy heat pump as examples of these technologies. The project won a Green Building Award in the Green Awards 2017 was covered in Passive House magazine recently.
